Many of us are trying desperately to find ways to profit from the economic downturn. Certainly financial products such as stocks and shares are hit, this means a possible loss for investors in the stock market. Equally, interest rates are so low and likely to remain so for some time, that bank saving accounts are not a good alternative at this time. So what does the future hold for investors? One optimistic view is that the the stock market will recover in 2009 as it has reached it`s lowest point and the only way is up. If this is true now is a good time to invest in penny shares and shares while they are cheap and have a reasonable chance of providing a good return. Investors must of course expect a period of volatility but in the long term the risks will be worth it.
